- ¿Qué nos podes contar acerca del set?

- Oh, es un mix que hice en tiempo real en mi estudio, tiene muchos nuevos tracks que recibí últimamente. Estoy comenzando con varias fechas como DJ y este es el estilo que vengo haciendo estos días.

-  ¿Cómo y cuándo comenzaste a hacer música?

- Comencé en el, hm.. ’88 más o menos, empece a hacer música más “industrial”, muy influenciada por cosas como Skinny Puppy, Einsturzende Neubaten, etc. Era divertido, aunque los sonidos eran muy extraños. Hice muchos discos bajo varios nombres, la mayoría muy experimentales.

- Tuviste un sello, Mitek, el cual estuvo en funciones desde el 2000 al 2007, con grandes logros, incluido el apoyo del Swedish Art Council. ¿Cuáles fueron los motivos que te llevaron a terminar el trabajo de ese sello?

- Mitek fue un sello para promocionar nuevos artistas suecos sin ninguna relación con la música electrónica. Yo trabajaba de promotor en Suecia, entonces estaba conectado a eso. Al mudarme a Berlín en 2002 me enfoqué más en la escena dance, entonces cambié de estilo e inicié Sunset Diskos.

- ¿Cómo ves el mercado discográfico hoy en día?

- Cuando uno produce música para DJs se encuentra con una escena bastante chica, especialmente si te dedicás a tracks más experimentales. Es un mercado muy duro hoy en día, demasiada música es editada todo el tiempo, y es bastante difícil poder generar difusión.

- ¿Qué artistas de hoy en día te parece que están proponiendo cosas más interesantes?

- Bruno Pronsato, [a]pendics.shuffle… Ese tipo de artistas.

- ¿Y cuáles son tus influencias o referentes?

- No estoy muy seguro realmente, creo que me influencio en mi vida, amigos, mi bella prometida, etc. Escucho todo tipo de música, actualmente tengo la estación de Jazz en mi radio sonando todo el día.

- ¿Qué planes tenes para el futuro?

- Hacer más música, espero que un nuevo álbum pronto. Poder tocar más como DJ y ese tipo de cosas. Mis próximos lanzamientos son algunos de Vita, un proyecto paralelo que llevo, serán editados por Adjunct y Foundation. También estoy trabajando en un nuevo EP que verá la luz a principios de 2011.

-What can you tell us about the mix for DJL?

- Oh, it’s a mix I made on the fly in my studio, lots of new tracks I received lately. I’m starting to take on DJ gigs and this is the style I am playing now.

-Let’s talk about your career as a producer, how and when did you start making music?

- I started hm.. around 1988, when I started to do more “industrial” music, heavily influenced by Skinny Puppy, Einsturzende Neubaten, etc. Was fun, but very strange sounds… I did a lot of records under various names. Most very experimental.

- Mitek, your previous label, was running from 2000 to 2007 and had great moments, including the support from the Swedish Art Council, which were the reasons that ended your work there?

- Mitek was a label for promoting new Swedish artists within any form of electronic music. I used to be a promoter in Stockholm, so it was connected to that. When I moved to Berlin in 2002 I got focused more into the dance scene, so I kind of moved on, and started Sunset Diskos.

- How do you see the music market today?

- When you produce music for dj’s it’s always a pretty small scene, specially if you are doing more experimental tracks. Is a hard market now, way too much music gets released. So it’s hard to be noticed.

- Which contemporary artists would you say are coming up with interesting stuff?

- Bruno Pronsato, [a]pendics.shuffle… artists like that…

- Tell us about your main influences or referents in music.

- Not sure really, I guess I get influenced by my life, friends, my beautiful fiance etc.
I listen to all kind of music, nowadays I have the Jazz station on my radio going almost 24/7.

- Do you have any plans for the future?

- Just to make more music, hopefully an album soon. To play more as a dj, etc. My upcoming records are a couple of Vita, a side project, will be released by Adjunct and Foundation.
I’m also working on new EP’s for early 2011.
