Maurice Aymard nos habla de Put Some For Jules

Uno de los artistas favoritos del Jardín más musical de América Latina presenta interesantes novedades, se trata del venezolano radicado en España, Maurice Aymard, quien le entrega al mundillo electrónico Put Some For Jules, primer trabajo que firma en Galaktika Records. Del Jardín Latino: -¿Qué nos podes decir acerca del proceso creativo de Put Some For Jules?

Maurice Aymard: -Tomé algunas ideas de un track que solía poner en el año 2001, era un Techno del sello Player, siempre quise hacer algo con las vocales de ese track. Así que hice un sampleo  y corté el vocal en varias partes llevándolo a otra dimensión, dándole vida a lo que es Put Some For Jules. Después de esto el kick, percusión y sintes salieron solos. Fue una semana que no me generó nada de stress todo surgió de una manera muy natural. Tengo que decir que fue producido en conjunto con un veterano de guerra del tema, Pablo Bolivar.

DJL: -¿Cómo fue la elección de los remixers?

MA: – Gui Boratto es amigo mío desde hace unos cuatro años, estamos en contacto bastante seguido, hizo la referencia 14 de Galaktika que tuvo un gran suceso, le mande el track y le encanto la melodía, entregándonos un increíble remezcla. Tuvimos que esperarlo tres meses ya que estaba haciendo remixes para Massive Attack y Trentemoller.

Garnica viene haciendo remixes asombrosos, encontró la formula para eso, en mi opinión. Me ganó con el remix que hizo para el nuevo label Wet Your Self (los promotores de Fabric Sunday) y él también hizo un tiempo en su ocupada agenda, el resto es historia.

DJL: -No es común que un cabeza de sello/productor edite su primer trabajo recién en la referencia 30 ¿Hay alguna razón en especial para esto?

MA: -Estuve produciendo desde hace un año, hice para Galaktika algunos remixes hace unos años, también uno para Tic Tac Toe, simplemente no estaba listo para hacer mi propio material. Mi debut fue el año pasado en Einmusika, luego en Mood Music y finalmente ahora en Galaktika.

DJL: -¿Este es el inicio para tener más seguido tu nombre en Galaktika?

MA: -Bueno, termine recientemente un track que casi sale por Kompakt, estoy todavía buscando sello pero si no lo encuentro seguramente será editado en mi casa.

One of our favourites here in the musical garden of Latin America is coming up with some really interesting news, we are talking about Maurice Aymard, the producer, DJ and label owner from Venezuela radicated in Spain who is feeding the electronic music world with a new record: Put Some For Jules, his first work in Galaktika Records. Coming up next, a complete checkout of the release on the words of his own creator, who better than him?

Del Jardín Latino: -What can you tell us about the creation process of Put Some For Jules?

Maurice Aymard: -I had some ideas from and old record that use to play in 2001, it was a techno tune from a label called Player and I always want to do something with the voice of this record . So I sample it and cut this in various parts and sudenly the voice  change into a hole new  dimension and it sounded like , Put Some For Jules. After this the hole structure, kicks, percusion, synts came along together, it was a non stressfulll week and things where coming out pretty easy. I also must sayed that I produced with veteran of war Pablo Bolivar.

DJL: -How were the remixers chosen?

MA: -Gui Boratto is a friend of mine since 4 years now, we been in touch every year, he did Galaktika 14 for us wich was a big succes, I sended him the track and he really like the melodie and after this he made and incredible remix, although we had to wait 3 months as we was doing remixes for Massive Attack and Trentemoller.
Garnica has  been doing amazing remixes, he has found a great formula to do this, in my opinion of course, I was really into the remix he did for the british new label Wet Your Self (Fabric Sunday Promoters) and he also found some time in his super busy schedule and the rest is history.

DJL: -It’s not that common to see a label owner/producer with his first EP on it after 30 releases , is there a special reason for this?

MA: -I´ve been producing since one year now, I did in Galaktika some remixes a couple of years ago, also one for Tic Tac Toe, I just was not ready for some original stuff. My debut was last year in Einmusika and then in Mood Music and finally in Galaktika this year.

DJL: -Is this the beginning of EPs with your signature more often on Galatika?

MA: -Well I have just one track finish wich was almost signed by Kompakt , I am still looking for a label for this one but if I can not find it for sure will be released in my own house.
