Set: En esta ocasión optamos por preguntarle al autor qué tiene para decir sobre el mix, esto es lo que nos cuenta:

Aquellos familiarizados con el tipo de música que toco en clubs notarán mis podcasts un poco diferentes. Me gusta juntar distintos estados de ánimo y sabores en este tipo de sets: Algunos tonos más deep (Glimpse – If I Was Your Girl / Davide Squillace – Old Dusty Pictures) y algo de material con raices en el house (Martinez – Damaged Color / Ali Bergen – Get On). Algunos viejos y clásicos pero ripeados de un modo fresco desde mi propia colección de discos (A. Purkat & M. Ambrose – Zulu Groove / John Thomas – Deepen). Agrego algunos tracks inéditos (Benoit & Sergio – Midnight People – Technasia Remix). Y por supuesto algunos technos (Jerome Sydenham – Bang Me Deep, Audio Injection – Way I Am – Monoloc Remix).

Indagué mucho en los tracks de Mr G., desde hace ya varios años, tiene un nuevo álbum por salir en Rekids asi que también incluí dos cortes de ese álbum. El set está mezclado con tres bandejas, no disfruto mucho tocar sólo con 2, me resulta un poco aburrido. Lo veo como tocar una guitarra con una sola cuerda. Hacer djing con tres bandejas me permite darle una sensación de continuidad más intensa al set, por más que sean distintos géneros los que formen parte del mix.

For those who are familiar with the kind of music that I play in clubs, my podcast sets are usually slightly different. I like to bring different moods and flavors into it: some deeper tunes (Glimpse “If I Was Your Girl”, Davide Squillace “Old Dusty Pictures”) and rooted house stuffs (Martinez “Damaged Color”, Aki Bergen “Get On”), some old classics freshly ripped from my record collection (A. Purkart & M. Ambrose “Zulu Groove”, John Thomas “Deepen”), some unreleased tunes (Benoit & Sergio “Midnight People – Technasia Remix”), and of course some techno bits (Jerome Sydenham “Bang Me Deep”, Audio Injection “Way I Am – Monoloc Remix”).

I dig very much Mr. G’s tracks as well for many years now. He’s got a new album coming out on Rekids so I also included two tracks from it in the set. I like to mix them all with three decks, I don’t really fancy playing with two only. Playing with two turntables is quite boring to my opinion. It’s like playing a guitar with one string only. DJing with three allows me to lay a continuous feel all the way in the mix, even though you got different styles in it.
